Delete your Mortify account

In the app

Open Mortify while connected to the internet. Go to Settings, then Account and data, and choose Delete my account. Your account is removed at once.

Without the app

Send an email to mortify@gentleking.org from the email address you sign in with, asking us to delete your account. If you write from another address, we will ask you to confirm that the account is yours before we delete it.

What is deleted

Deleting your account permanently removes everything in it: your email address, preferences, reading place and Flee records, your encrypted journal, confessions and reflections, your profile, brethren links, messages, shared events, notification addresses and settings. It cannot be undone.

A brother or sister may still remember a message you sent. If someone reported a message from you, their report and its copy of that message are kept until they delete their own account. A copy of your email address may remain in our email provider's records for up to 30 days afterward, as the privacy policy explains.
